Ten years ago, the world changed. Or, rather, one per cent of people changed, and the world was forced to keep up with them.
The first symptoms appeared on January 12th. Around the world, people from all walks of life experienced flulike symptoms: nausea, headaches, muscle aches, and fever. Many people still remember these early days of what would later be termed the Sudden Mutation Event
(SME) with anxiety and dread.

In a world where super powers are widespread and derive from a consistent, if incompletely understood, point of origin, their physical traces can be subjected to scientific analysis which holds up in court. Just as detectives in our world rely on ballistics to identify bullets found at a crime scene, HCIU officers can use forensics to analyze the physical after-effects of mutant abilities, most notably blast powers. DNA evidence can be scoured to tell mutant from norm, and to identify which powers individuals are likely to manifest.
Forensic scientists have been at the forefront of efforts to find practical applications for the discoveries of anamorphology. The Quade Institute maintains a department of forensic science, which offers training to criminalists and police investigators. Your character may have attended classes there. Even if you didn’t, the techniques you rely upon when analyzing crime scenes for traces of mutant powers were shaped in its ultramodern corridors.

Armor is a hero's first line of defense
Armor allows heroes to make an armor save after each strike they take. A succesful roll avoids one strike. The hero who was hit takes the strike from any armor save they fail. If you are hit for multiple strikes of damage (like a crit) you get to make the roll for each strike point.
* Villans and enemies do not normally have a save roll feature
* Remember that karma can be used to boost saving rolls
Armor won't save you from everything
Some events can happen that armor will not protect you from. In those cases make a miraculous save roll instead of an armor save.
Events such as falling, fire, poison or crushing rocks will require a miraculous save roll and wll inflict one strike for every failed roll.

Les typos ("hereo's first line of defense", "you get to male the roll") sont dans le texte ou un bug de recopie ?

On cherche un livre de base.
Anti-Reality Grenade
This powerful weapon explodes, throwing not shrapnel but fragments of other worlds, which slice through ours. The result is a zone of upheaval, madness, and impossible physics. Everything is changed, perhaps slightly and perhaps fundamentally. The transformation could be as simple as changing someone’s clothes to those of a medieval peasant from an alternate timestream. It can be as permanent as changing someone into a life-size marionette of themselves as a cat person. Ambiguous artifacts from other worlds, cold to the touch, are left behind in the grenade’s wake.
